TGC lawyer Steven Barker has successfully represented an employee at the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal.
On April 17, 2020, the Tribunal rejected an appeal brought by the employer and upheld an underlying wage loss benefits decision in favour of the employee.
The issue on appeal was whether the employee was entitled to continued wage loss benefits arising from a workplace injury. The Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal confirmed that the employee’s injury had not been resolved and that the employee was entitled to wage loss benefits in the result.
