Hussein Assad joined TGC in 2025 after being called to the bar in British Columbia. He completed his articling term practicing personal injury defence, gaining valuable insight into litigation strategy and legal processes.

During law school at Thompson Rivers University (TRU), Hussein worked at the Employment Standards Branch following his second year. His early dedication to access to justice was evident through his volunteer work with Access Pro Bono while completing his undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University, where he earned an Honours degree in Criminology along with a minor in Dialogue and a Policing Certificate.

Having grown up in the Lower Mainland, Hussein brings a grounded and community-minded approach to his practice. Outside of work, he leads an active lifestyle—whether at the gym, hiking local trails, or kayaking the coast. A passionate traveler, Hussein has explored numerous countries and backpacked across parts of Europe and Africa.
