Ferris* Vasko joined the TGC team after her call to the British Columbia bar in 2025. She articled at a full-service global law firm, where she gained valuable experience in civil litigation, employment and labour law, and commercial law. Ferris attended law school at the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, with an entrance scholarship. She loved the East Coast but is ecstatic to have returned home to BC. During law school, Ferris was a research student with the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice, a pro bono volunteer, and an Executive and Board member of the Law Students’ Society. She also completed a public law placement with the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission.

Ferris completed her undergraduate degree with a double major in English and Anthropology at the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George, where she was born and raised. During this degree she worked and volunteered both in professional and amateur theatre behind the scenes and on stage. She continued her passion for theatre by working at a theatre company during her law degree, and by participating in the 2025 Lawyer Show, the Addams Family Musical.

Her upbringing in Prince George, her experiences in the arts, and her time in law school have made Ferris an active member of the community who enjoys volunteering. In her spare time Ferris also loves reading, live music, theatre, travelling, craft-making, playing the piano and ukulele, singing, volleyball, hockey, and shark tracking.
