The Lawyer’s Weekly, in its June 17 2011 issue, in an article written by Jeremy Hainsworth, comments on the recent victory by Mr. McCormick and his counsel Murray Tevlin of TevlinGleadle Employment Law Strategies.

In the decision referred to, the BC Supreme Court upheld the decision of the BC Human Rights Tribunal in this important employment law matter, involving a claim by a 66 year old lawyer to be entitled to the protections of the BC Human Rights Code‘s rules against discrimination based on age.  The Tribunal, and now the court has concluded that Mr. McCormick is entitled to the anti-discrimination protection of the Code, even though he is a partner in a law firm.
