Martin Sheard and Shannon Beebe won a trial on December 11, 2018, in the B.C. Supreme Court. Martin and Shannon successfully pursued damages for lost income, aggravated damages, costs and interest on behalf of a most deserving client.
Amongst other important findings, the Court concluded that:
[the plaintiff] dismissed [the defendant] in a manner that was insensitive. More important, [the defendant] pursued an aggressive and improper litigation strategy, taking advantage of its superior resources and [the plaintiff’s] economic vulnerability. It failed to deal with her fairly and in good faith…
