Martin Sheard co-presented with Paul Pape to the Advocates’ Society today in a nationwide tele-presentation regarding the status of case law with respect to termination clauses in employment contracts. The thesis of the presenters was that incompatible decisions have confused the law to the point that it is impossible to provide firm advice. In the result, intervention from the Supreme Court of Canada is warranted.
