Sean Tevlin is an experienced employment lawyer who specializes in employment and labour law, administrative law and civil litigation.

Sean obtained his law degree from the University of Victoria and was called to the BC Bar in 2016. Sean articled at a leading labour and litigation firm before practicing at a large downtown Vancouver firm for several years.

In 2022 Sean rejoined TGC; Sean had already worked for TGC during the summer of 2014 as a summer student, prior to finishing his last year of law school.

Experience

Sean has experience working in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful dismissal claims, constructive dismissal claims and human rights and accommodation matters. Sean is also experienced in labour law, having appeared as lead counsel before the BC Labour Relations Board and Arbitration Boards.

Sean has also appeared before the Worker’s Compensation Appeal Tribunal, the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

Sean also has a breadth of experience resolving matters without resorting to litigation, including through negotiations and mediation.

Personal

During law school, Sean spent a summer working for an international law firm in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prior to law school, Sean worked at the United Nations in Human Resources.

Sean is involved in giving Courthouse Pro Bono clinics, an avid swimmer, skier and aspiring triathlete.
